I Didn't Just Get Here — I Built It Through the Mess. Let’s be clear: I didn’t land here because I had a financial head start. I got here through failure, rebuilding, learning, and unlearning. I’ve been in go-mode since I was 17 — hustling, dreaming, surviving, and figuring it out as I go. Even in my cray-cray party years (yes, those wild Inwood /Washington Heights nights), my mind was dreaming in business plans and big ideas — entrepreneurship dreams as big as my Latina mouth.
I’ve walked the walk — from zero to restarting, from heartbreak to healing, from business burnout to building again. So, when I say I understand the pressure you feel as a mom, a caregiver, a business owner, a mujer trying to do it all — it’s not theory. It’s lived.
That’s why I do this work. That’s why I speak up. That’s why I teach.
Because I know what it’s like to build with nothing but God, grit, and Google.
When They Don’t Believe in You, Believe Anyway
In my line of work — whether I’m helping a family plan for their future, guiding a small business toward financial clarity, or sitting across from someone who’s never trusted a financial professional before — trust is the currency.
It’s what I’ve built my entire practice on. It’s how I’ve grown my client base — mostly from strangers who became believers. Trust and my continued pep talks, It’s what keeps my inbox full, my calendar booked, and my referrals strong. And yet... even in my own home, I still have to prove myself sometimes.
Real Talk: My Husband and the 401(k) Conversation
The other day, my husband had a question about his (401) K retirement plan. I’ve explained it to him many times — the contribution structure, employer match, tax advantages. He nodded, like always. Then he said: “I’m just going to call the provider to confirm.”
I laughed. Not out of disrespect, but because it hit me in that familiar spot. So I asked:
“You don’t trust me? You don't think my answer is correct or perhaps that I truly dont understand this topic.
He paused — surprised. Tried to reword, to soften it. But it was already said. It reminded me that people close to you don’t always see your genius. And that includes friends. Like the ones who call me for advice, only to ask someone else for the same answer. I don’t take it personally anymore — I take it as confirmation that I need to believe in myself first.
Because if I waited for others to validate me, I wouldn’t have built anything.
This isn’t just a story about marriage, or even about being underestimated — it’s about the reality many of us face as women in business. You might be running a household, raising kids, caregiving, or building something from scratch — and still have people second-guess your knowledge, your leadership, your value.
If that hits home, I want you to know something: you're not the only one. I’ve built my business not with approval, but with action. Not with applause, but with alignment.
Whether you’re a small business owner trying to finally get your books in order, a mom wondering if your retirement plan is enough, or someone starting over financially — this blog is for you. It’s why I offer strategy sessions, tools, and workshops that don’t just teach financial literacy — they remind you of your power.
Because you don’t just need advice. You need someone who gets it. You need tools that restore your confidence. You need a space where you’re not questioned — you’re guided.
And that’s exactly what I’ve created for you here — not to sell, but to serve. I share because I want to build community. I write because I know the hustle — especially for women like me in their 40s, in our culture, still grinding, still dreaming, and still believing we can accomplish it all. If you're reading this and you’ve been doubted, overlooked, or underestimated — know that you're not alone. Trust your gut. Get started on those goals. Trust yourself.
You don’t have to wait to be chosen. You just have to decide to show up.
That’s the energy I CHOSE daily to bring into every workshop, every call, every space I walk into, every download I create, every client conversation in my additionally volunteer work with DAChamber Not perfection — just purpose.
From My Desk to Yours: These Help Me Lead When I Felt Invisible
When I created the Emergency Financial Organizer: Special Needs Edition, it wasn’t just another PDF. It came from nights of digging through drawers trying to find my daughter’s medical papers, her IEP, from the stress of juggling caregiving for my mother, and from knowing that I needed a plan even when I felt like I was falling apart. If you’ve ever felt like you're carrying the world — this organizer is for you. GO DOWNLOAD IT, please if you have questions on planning for a special needs family or questions on protection of any kind reach out to me. Schedule a consult. They are complimentary. No pressure just knowledge. If you're like me — a communicator, a connector, but someone who’s been told you're "Too Much" — then you’ll love The People Magnet. This book gave me language to lead without apology. To sell without selling. To feel seen. I TRULY RECOMMEND IT.
Budgeting saved me when business got tight and life got messy. That’s why I created the Track Your Money: 30-Day Challenge — so you can join me in building new habits with support, not shame. It’s not about perfection. It’s about awareness. Join the challenge.

❤️ Final Thought
I am building this practice on purpose, not luck. I’ve grown it with strangers who became clients, clients who became believers, and a support system I chose to build when I realized I couldn’t do it alone.
When they don’t believe in you, believe anyway. Because your value isn’t up for negotiation.
